Attorney John B. Kelchner was born in Greensboro, North Carolina and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. He received a B.A from Washington and Lee University in 1994, and a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1997. John was a law clerk at the Korn Law Firm while in law school and was retained as an Associate in 1997. His emphasis is primarily in bankruptcy law, with extensive knowledge of  foreclosure and repossession law. John was pivotal in the Korn Law Firm being selected as a pilot firm for the United States Bankruptcy Court electronic document submission program (CM-ECF). He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the Consumer Law Section of the SC Bar, the SC Bankruptcy Lawyers Association, and the Richland County Bar Association.
